You Matter marathon – No running required

In November, a project from America is expanding to include the UK. The basic idea of the project is that you show gratitude and compassion to individuals who are important to you by simply giving them a “You Matter” card. In November, I will have a supply of these cards – just ask and I will pass them on for you to give out. Spread the love!

Business & Education

In addition to my regular lunchtime staff yoga session at ANSYS on the Sheffield Business park, I am now working with Voluntary Action Sheffield to deliver “early bird” yoga sessions at 7.30am for staff in their office. I am also excited to be offering a taster session for the carers group at Age UK in Sheffield in November.

I have recently been into Wales High School to deliver yoga and mindfulness sessions to Y9 and Y11 students, and we are working together to make this a regular feature of school life at Wales.

YouTube meditations

Those of you who follow me on Facebook will know that I have started to post some 10 minute guided meditation videos. Designed to be similar to the relaxation section of the yoga classes, you can listen to these meditations on your computer or phone. The links are on my Facebook page, and there will be more to come in the future.

Festival of Trees

The Methodist church at South Anston host this festival every December when local groups sponsor and decorate a Christmas tree in the chapel building – the end result being literally dozens of beautifully decorated trees filling up the church.

This year, I have sponsored a tree for the Chi Living yoga groups to decorate. So, I am looking for volunteers to a) design yoga related tree decorations, and b) join me at some time (to be arranged) between 4th & 6th December to go decorate the tree itself.

See you all on the mat soon - Stephen
